Problem

European Precious Metals (EPM) are luxury metal specialists. EPM specialises in buying and selling VAT free silver bullion coins to private individuals as well as institutional investors, financial advisors and resellers. Their core business is “silver” which they stock in an enormous range of pieces and customers to invest in inflation-safe assets by selling VAT free silver coins within the EU.

However, the company’s business communications and collaboration capabilities had lagged, and employees were relying on ageing, unreliable email and telephony systems with no instant messaging and no conferencing. Staff spent most of their time making sure the outdated email systems were operational, leaving little time for new initiatives.

Solution

To revitalize its IT capabilities, EPM decided to invest in a solution that will give their company a reliable email system and a product that would allow office and mobile users to be able to collaborate easily with no hassle. They decided that Microsoft Office 365 Business would be a great fit for their organization.

Implementation

EPM and ElasticAir worked together to migrate the current email solution across to Office 365 Business. Microsoft Teams was used as a wide-ranging communication and discussion platform throughout the organisation. Skype and Exchange Online ensured communications on a single platform with integration to SharePoint Online.

Forward4Families LLP (F4F) is an innovative and well-established independent social work organisation that provides high-quality family group conferences, mediation and assessment services to local authorities.

F4F also provide training for social workers, managers and solicitors and are at the cutting edge of utilising the family group conference model in private law proceedings. The company wanted a solution where their employees all had access to the same email software and where they could securely store and share important documents.

Solution

ElasticAir showed Forward4Families the advantages of using Microsoft Office 365 Business and how it could improve collaboration between employees. Discussions were held about the use cases for SharePoint online and how that could help Forward4Families to manage projects and share data. Further discussions were held in relation to OneDrive and Skype for business implementation.

ElasticAir migrated Forward4Families current email contents across to Office 365 Business and set them up with Microsoft Outlook on the desktops and mobile devices. OneDrive was also configured to store their personal files and folders in a secure manner and SharePoint Online enabled for collaboration between its employees.

The company has adopted SharePoint Online for team collaboration. All new team and project sites are now created using SharePoint Online. As part of the handover, ElasticAir also gave the F4F employees formal training on how to navigate across SharePoint and OneDrive and how they can organise their personal and company data.

F4F employees will be able to enjoy easy sharing of contacts, calendar appointments, and tasks. The messaging system will work seamlessly with the programs that employees use most. The company is excited to be able to use continuously updated applications that are stable and reliable.
